The mix rate of the MSM can change depending on the targeted weed. A mix of .5 oz to 1 oz per acre is a normal application. I use 1 ounce in 20 gallons of water to spray an acre. The way I got around it was to wait until fall when the turf is starting its dormancy. Also, I spot treated instead of covering the whole lawn, which helps. I am in central Florida and temperatures have been around degrees. It's been 2 weeks and the weeds are dying nicely. Applied per directions on my St. Augustine grass to stop dollar weeds. The next two days the weeds started to brown on the edges. Now a week later, all my dollar weeds are dying. I have not seen results like this since the days of DDT!

I only have about 2000 ft.² and I applied 0.25oz/ac through a pump sprayer with well water and no change noted. Total was about 0.025 oz according to the measuring guide that came with the product. I am going to give it another week and then re-apply at a higher concentration to see if that has any affect. I purchased this product to control Virginia button weed.
I’ll hit the other 10 percent I missed this week. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to measure 0.01 oz of Quali-Pro MSM Turf Herbicide to make a 1 gallon solution. Per the manufacturer, their recommended rate to use for spot applications is of 0.1 oz per 4 gallons of water, which can be easily measured with their measuring device provided. I would wait at least a couple or 3 days or even a week.
May turn Centipide a little yellow but does not die. MSM also kills other bad weeds like Virginian Buttonweed. Well worth the price, and vendor service is outstanding. Used it for dollarweed and some other weeds.
This product is very effective against Virginia Buttonweed , and is safe to use on Zoysia . The active ingredient of this product is the same as the herbicide formerly sold under the trade name “Manor”. In my experience, Zoysia is quite tolerant of this herbicide at the recommended rates as long as ambient temperatures are under 85F. Spot spraying during summer also doesn’t seem to harm the turf grass.
No, it will do more damage to the Bahia than the carpet grass. Bahia grass is cheaper to put in but more expensive to maintain. Try Blindside or Celsius and you will have to mix them at the higher rates listed on the label. Waiting 24 hours before watering is ideal to ensure sufficient time for the product to begin working.
